The Wild return home after a two week and five game road trip that saw them take the final two games to go 2-1-1. The Oilers failed to hold two, two goal leads last night in Philadelphia, dropping a high scoring 6-5 tilt.

Edmonton will not only be looking for a stronger 60 minute effort after last night's tough loss, but will also be looking to avenge the 2-1 Wild OT win Sunday night.

Typically teams returning home after an extended road trip have a bit of a letdown in the first game back in front of the home crowd. That can't happen for the Wild this evening as the Oilers will come out flying in an effort to erase the bad taste in their mouths from last night.

Connor McDavid is simply flying and will be on a mission to get his team going from the drop of the puck. He had a couple run-ins last night with Brandon Manning showing a different element of his game. The Wild could find themselves in a difficult spot if McDavid gets going early.

For the Wild, they need to keep their attention to detail strong moving the puck quickly as they did the first two periods in Toronto. Edmonton has a tendency to get sloppy in their own zone and they are vulnerable to the counter attack.

The Wild are starting to really take to the Bruce Boudreau system and the quality of scoring chances are starting to increase. That is a good sign that must continue for them to keep the momentum going.

Looking for three wins in a row tonight at home in front of a rocking State of Hockey Friday night crowd.
