Now that the dust has settled and the free agent moves have slowed to a trickle, the main topic on Fletcher's plate is the negotiations with Nino Niederreiter and Mikael Granlund, who have both filed for arbitration. Fletcher also needs to get a new deal done with newly acquired Marcus Foligno.

So what else does Chuck have in store this off-season or is the roster the way it is and this is what Bruce Boudreau has to work with?

The name that intrigues me and seems to be a perfect fit for the Wild is Cody Franson. Baffling that he is still on the market at 6'5" 225lbs, a right handed shot defenseman, and just 30 years old when next season begins.

Franson is a very good possession player by the numbers with the ability to play the powerplay, and kill penalties. He was a minus 5 this past season on a Sabre team that was not very good at all defensively, and had no one with a plus/minus better than +3.

So what would it take to bring in Franson, and can it be done with the current cap situation in Minnesota?
