The hockey community and the State of Hockey has lost a true ambassador to the game with the passing of Walter Bush.

Walter Bush was a native of Minneapolis and was the primary founder of the Minnesota North Stars. He helped start the Central Hockey League, was a minority owner of the North Stars, former president of USA Hockey, 1980 US Hockey Hall of Fame Inductee, 2000 Hockey Hall of Fame Inductee, 2009 IIHF Hall of Fame Inductee, and former owner of the Kentucky Thoroughblades. Bush was very instrumental in getting women's hockey into the Olympics.

Walter Bush was a true hockey icon in every sense of the word. His legacy lives on through all the lives and organizations he has touched throughout his life.

Thank you Walter Bush for your tireless work and dedication to the sport that we love, you will be missed, but never forgotten.
