Is Wild Coach in Place Already?

Yesterday Wild GM Chuck Fletcher said that interim coach John Torchetti is a "very serious candidate" for the vacant head coaching position. He stated that he would not rush to a decision and wanted a coach that will hold players accountable.

So with today's firing of Bruce Boudreau in Anaheim, does that change things at all with Fletcher and his plan.

Bruce Boudreau has quite a track record of winning in the regular season, but his playoff record is well documented. But before we go down that road too far let's take a look at a few of the coaches that have their teams in the round of eight. Ken Hitchcock's teams had only won one playoff series since 2004 heading into this year's playoffs, and Barry Trotz's teams have never been past the second round.

So give me Bruce Boudreau who coaches a very up tempo game and will absolutely get the most out of the Wild offense. He just may be the guy to get this group over the hump.
