Ok before we get to the game that is sure to take over homes from Westbury to Westport we first have a little business that we have to get out of the way. The Isles look to continue their winning ways as they make a stop in Denver tonight to take on the Colorado Avalanche.

I would expect the lineup to remain the same because as we know Islanders' Head Coach Jack Capuano does not like to tinker with his lineup after a win. I could see however perhaps Donovan playing in place of Carkner and possibley Boulton sitting as well but I don't expect any major changes. With the past two days off it is expected that Kevin Poulin will return to the net tonight.

The Islanders are without question playing their best hockey of the season and this is yet another chance to pick up some valuable points. The rest of the Metro division is showing signs of life so points right now are at a premium.

Ok now it's time for a little fun. Maybe it's the Isles' recent stretch of wins but we have every right to enjoy what we are watching right now. If you follow me on Twitter you already know that I have been working on an Islander themed game that we can play while the match is in progress. So without further delay I present to you the Official New York Islanders Drinking Game.

Here are the Official rules for the game. If some new catch phrase or trend comes along these rules are always amendable. For each time one of these events occur during an Islanders broadcast you are required to take a shot of beer. Once again please use beer because as we know with this hockey team; the hard stuff will lead to ER visits. Once again this is all in good fun and I am not advocating any participation, just a fun way to get through the games

1. Butchie says chip and chase
2. Butchie calls anyone other than Howie; Howie
3. Howie complains about the shootout
4. Butch uses the word "nifty"
5. Peter gets extra French on the words "Poulin" or "Canadiens"
6. Stan sings to Nabokov
7. Anyone uses the words "battle level"
8. Blow a two goal lead
9. Stan makes a pre 1960 reference
10. Cappy says” we played good" after a loss
11. Peter butchers a highlight during intermission
12. Someone post a threatening tweet towards JB Smoove or Grace Rogers
13. Howie makes a baseball reference
14. Poulin loses his stick
15. Cappy calls timeout
16. Grabner is stopped on a breakaway
17. Two shots of beer if Grabner scores on a breakaway.
18. Andrew Macdonald is lying on the ice when the other team scores
19. Al Trautwig blocks you on twitter
20. Empty the fridge if Trautwig calls your mother's house after 11pm looking to yell at you
21. Butch destroys someone's name or combines two players’ names
22. Matt Carkner takes a penalty
23. The pregame starts with a shot of the two teams’ pucks in the team store
24 The Coliseum is so empty you can hear section 329 singing
25. Butch uses a word that is out of context or doesn't exist
