The Las Vegas Golden Knights have selected JF Berube in the expansion draft. By doing so the Isles have sent Mikhail Grabovski's contract, d prospect Jake Bischoff, a 2017 1st rounder (15th overall) and a 2019 2nd rounder.

This is a steep price to protect your assests and clear up cap space but with the cap going up and clearing Grabbo's contact the Isles have seven million dollars freed up with this deal. Now we wait for the roster freeze to lift tomorrow and see if the Isles can add a top six forward.
