With all due respect to Meatloaf...if “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad”, then given my desire to see all four second round series go to deciding game-sevens, three out of four ain’t bad either...although it would have been nice to have had the four-pack of series deciderS.
Thanks a pant-load Vancouver!
We’ll get to start thing off in the nation’s capital tonight as the Ovechkins and the Crosbys do battle. And while this series had indeed lived up to it’s hype with those two super-stars pairing off...tonight I think it’ll be more about Varlamov vs. Fleury. One of those two is gonna come up big and steal the show.
Oh, and given that three of the first six games so far have been overtime jobs...don't be too stunned if we see things go past 60 minutes again. We can only hope as much!
I picked the Caps in seven a couple weeks ago...so I’m gonna say Washington advances after a 3-2 overtime win.
Tomorrow in Bah-ston...the Bruins will be looking to complete their come-back from being down three-one. Personally, I think the Canes missed their big chance to do in Boston last night. It looked like they were gonna make a go of it once they pulled the score to 2-1...but this
Marc Savard character comes up with a very timely goal.
Marc Savard...I sure wish Don Waddel and
the Thrashers could land a quality top-line center like him.
The brain tells me Boston takes it tonight...but I have some friends in Carolina and I’m living vicariously through them during the playoffs, so that’s who I’ll be pulling for. However, my noggin is usually right more often then my heart. Boston wins 4-2.
In Mo-town...I thought this would go seven games and it’s really been great fun to watch. To me this one comes down to the man ‘tween the pipes for Anaheim. If the Ducks allow Detroit as much as three goals tomorrow...fuggidahboudit!
Oh...and is Fanzen Swedish for “springtime assassin”? I mean, as good as he is during the regular 82 games...he sure comes to play for game number 83 and above, doesn’t he?
As outstanding as the Quackers have performed this post-season...I wouldn’t bet against The Big Red Borg. The octopi will fly at The Joe as the Wings advance with a 3-2 win.
Two weeks ago I picked Detroit, Washington, Boston and Vancouver to come out on top in their series. So, if indeed the Bruins, Wings and Caps win...it’ll make me three outa four on my second-round predictions.
Again, thanks Knuckleheads!
But then...three outa four ain’t bad.
