In search of their fourth straight victory, Ken Hitchcock's Dallas Stars (4-3-0) play host to Bill Peters' Carolina Hurricanes (3-1-1) on Saturday night. Game time at the American Airlines Center is 7:00 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest Plus.

This is the first of two meetings this season between the inter-conference clubs and the lone game in Dallas. Last year, the Stars swept the two-game season series. Overall, Dallas has won five in a row against Carolina and eight of the last nine meetings in Big D.

Dallas brings a 3-1-0 home record into Saturday's tilt. The Hurricanes are 2-1-0 on the road.

The Stars enter this game coming off a home-and-home sweep of the winless Arizona Coyotes. On Thursday in Glendale, two goals by Tyler Seguin and one from team captain Jamie Benn spurred a 5-4 regulation win. Seguin scored twice in the third period. Radek Faksa and Stephen Johns rounded out the scoring, while Ben Bishop stopped 27 of 31 shots.

Carolina was also victorious in its last game; a 2-1 road victory over the Calgary Flames on Thursday night. Jeff Skinner and veteran forward Justin Williams provided just enough goal support in front of Scott Darling (25 saves on 26 shots) to earn the victory.

The Stars currently have no reported injured. For Carolina, veteran forward Lee Stempniak is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
