1) The OHL champion London Knights went a perfect 3-0-0 in round robin play at the 2016 Memorial Cup in Red Deer, Alberta. On Tuesday night, the Knights downed the QMJHL champion Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (1-2-0) by a 5-2 count. Flyers defense prospect Philippe Myers had a play power assist and an even plus-minus in a losing cause.

On Wednesday, round robin play concludes as the WHL champion Brandon Wheat Kings (0-2-0) try to redeem what has been a disastrous tournament for them as they take on the tournament host Red Deer Rebels (1-1-0) in a battle of Western Hockey League teams.

2) May 25 marks the 19th anniversary of Game 5 of the 1997 Eastern Conference Final as the Flyers defeated the New York Rangers, 4-2, at the CoreStates Center to earn the seventh trip to the Stanley Cup Final in franchise history. Two goals by Rod Brind'Amour and one apiece by Eric Lindros and John LeClair led the way along with 17 saves by Ron Hextall.

3) This week (May 24) also marks the sixth anniversary of Game 5 of the 2010 Eastern Conference Final as the Flyers defeated the Montreal Canadiens, 4-2, to advance to the eighth Stanley Cup Final in franchise history. Two goals by Jeff Carter (even strength and empty net), an iconic shorthanded goal by Mike Richards and an Arron Asham tally supplied the offensive support for Michael Leighton (25 saves).
