Although the Flyers have not officially announced the signing of Finnish forward Mika Pyörälä as of this writing, the deal is complete. The one-year contract will pay the 28-year-old the NHL minimum of $500,000 according to Capgeek.com and Hockeysverige. Capgeek is also listing the signing of Krys Kolanos as a one-year, $500,000 contract.

Free agent defenseman Lasse Kukkonen, a former teammate of Pyörälä who hails from the same hometown, has signed a two-year contract to play in Russia with KHL team Avangard Omsk. Although the deal was reported in Europe nearly a month ago, it will not officially kick in until the expiration of an agreed-upon "grace period" in which the defenseman could sign as a free agent with an NHL team.
