Blues forward T.J. Oshie will miss some time after undergoing appendectomy surgery last night. Following the victory over Minnesota Oshie complained of stomach pains and nausea.

His appendix did not rupture.

Everything was under control and the procedure was not considerd an emergency. He had the operation very early this morning. The Doctors felt they should go ahed and get it out before the situation turned into an emergency.

Last season Blues goaltender Chris Mason underwent the same procedure. I've been told Mason's situation was considered worse than Oshie's.

Word is Oshie should be able to begin skating in about 8-9 days.

In other news Blues D-man Alex pietrangelo is expected to play tonight and replace Tyson Strachan in the lineup.

Blues will not call up anybody prior to tonight's game.

More to come,
