Pietrangelo Staying?

The Blues need to make one more roster move prior to tomorow's deadline. Assuming there were no injuries in today's exhibition game in Sweden, I'm told Tyson Strachan is the likely candidate headed to Peoria. Obviously this means Alex Pietrangelo will begin the season in the NHL. Are the Blues committing to Pietrangelo beyond nine games?

Stay Tuned....

A high ranking VS official tells me no progress has been made between DirecTV and the VS network.

The only positive is that the two sides continue to talk in hopes of reaching an agreement.

I've been told D-man Dan Boyle will likely be named the next Captain of the San Jose Sharks. Veteran Rob Blake is also being considered.

Brett Mclean has returned to Kelowna where he is mulling over a two-way offer from Tampa Bay. I'm told he is likely to decline the offer if he's not guaranteed to start the year with the Lightning.

Mclean has received multiple offers to play in Europe.

Tampa Bay placed D-man Matt Lashoff on waivers. Lashoff is a former first round pick of the Boston Bruins.

New Jersey has waived D-man Jay Leach.

More to come,
