Blues forward Patrik Berglund sufferd what is believed to be a muscle strain during practice this morning and is very questionable to play Friday night vs. Anaheim.

The Blues will likely call up Brad Winchester in case Berglund is unable to go.

I'm sure Chris Porter will get some consideration as well.

When you're calling up players this far down on the depth chart you're not going to get a pguy who can fill a top six role. The Blues won't find a player to replace Berglund in Peoria at this point.

The Blues AHL affiliate has been hit by the injury bug as well with eight of their top forwards either hurt or in St. Louis.

Charles Linglet is the latest to go down with an injury today in practice and is expected to miss signigficant time.

Ryan Reaves is also out with a broken rib.

Peoria Captain Trent Whitfield is dealing with multiple injuries.

Paul Kariya by the way is still dealing with a hip flexor and will miss at least Friday's game against Anaheim. Kariya did skate on his own again on Thursday before the team practiced.

Rink Rats!

Sources close to Brendan Shanahan don't anticipate any news regarding the veteran forward until after the weekend.
