The St. Louis Blues and Keith Tkachuk exchanged some very positive dialogue today and appear to be in the process of constructing the framework for a contract extension. Sources close to the negotiating tell me today was a very good day.

I would be very surprised if the Blues and Tkachuk were unable to reach an agreement considering the veteran player wants to return and the Blues are interested in bringing the 500 goal scorer back for probably one more season.
