Three-time Stanley cup champion Slava Fetisov has been audible about not allowing young Russian players go to North America but now it appears that he has changed his mind.

No surprise this realization has come right after the victory of Alex Ovechkin, Dmitri Orlov, and Evgeni Kuznetsov.

''I was one of those people who said that KHL should be locked and that players younger than 28 shouldn't be able to leave,'' he said.

Fetisov admitted that he now understands that he was wrong.

He mentioned that players have the right to make their own choices crediting Artemi Panarin on giving this very honest interview to Russian media.

''The boys should know what they want to do'' he added.

To note: This isn't the first time that Slava Fetisov has stated that he has been wrong, but this time he has spoken out publicly.
