It appears as Barys Astana has laid their eyes on a Florida Panthers prospect.

25-year old Curtis Valk who spent this past season with the Springfield Thunderbirds appears to be KHL bound.

According to ''Shayba.kz'' Valk is expected to sign a KHL contract with Kazakhstan's Barys Astana.

Hockeybuzz reached out to players representatives but they would not confirm nor deny the rumor.

According to the team, Valk is expected to sign a one-year deal with the club for the upcoming 2018/2019 season.
