Quick Update this morning, with more coming in the early afternoon as teams start to settle into their office with a ton of work left to do...I have a "no cell phones allowed" family obligation this morning, so no one in the NHL is allowed to do anything between 11am and 1pmET...got it?

Rumor Chart will be completely re-vamped and updated this afternoon after I get the new landscape under control...

Tavares will be the big story today...I don't get a sense that he is leaving the Isles, but I don feel he is giving in to the pressure of his status as a Superstar and at least listening...much like Stamkos did last year..It is being widely reported he is meeting with 5 teams, but I was told by a GREAT source on this one "other teams are still trying to get a meeting and I expect a few might actually convince John to talk to them...at least via Skype..."

There is some unrest in Montreal I am told...Pacioretty believed he would be moved and isn't thrilled with this dragging on....

The Senators will be signing Chris Wideman to an extension...that is certain...

I've also heard that John Carlson may go to the five-day window to see what other offers are out there...

Who do you feel were the winners of the draft??

more to come...including my picks for the best trade proposals you all put in......
