Capitals Seek Elimination of Blue Jackets

The Washington Capitals won game five in overtime, which made for three wins in a row, and an improbable comeback after losing the first two games of the series on home ice.

After the win, it's back to Columbus tonight for game six.

Now, normally what happens is that the Capitals win and I write about it in a post game blog. Unfortunately, the game started 3pm on Saturday, there was overtime, celebration, then an hour and a half break, then a Leafs game.

I'm not one to do too much partying - but a double header of playoff hockey is as good an excuse as anyone ever needs - and so, yesterday turned out to be a sick day.

Not 'sick' like the kids say, but sick as in by head felt like it got bashed with a brick.

So instead of phoning in a post-game recap, I watched Titanic (which took up most of the day) and then followed it up with Sunset Blvd.

For Christmas, I bought my wife this poster of the 100 Greatest Films and you scratch it like a lotto ticket as you watch them. Since my favorite movies inevitably star John Mclane, Marty McFly and Lt. Riggs, this has been quite the experience, since I have to watch actual 'films.'

Anyways, I don't know if you ever heard of Titanic, but you should check it out, it's pretty cool. It's about how nice and human rich people can be. And a boat sinks. It's cool! (But also very sad).

Not sure how it's written by the same guy who invented Terminators, but regardless, I rate it five Leos.

As for the Capitals, I try to be objective and write about them as a hockey fan, not necessarily a fan of the team. But when you follow a team closely, you tend to end up liking them a lot and I think I actually became a real Caps fan on Saturday when Backstrom put that puck in in OT.

They were getting killed and it didn't look good, but I'll take a fluke goal in O.T anyday.

Playoff hockey is insane and not much is better than cutting the tension with an O.T goal.

I only wish there was some way to watch one game and tape another without the first game updating you on the game you're taping. Instead, I guess I'll just flip between games tonight and (as usual) miss every goal.

Monday double header. Awesome.

Tonight, we party, tomorrow we miss work, get fired, choose AA over a divorce and then get divorced anyways.

Just kidding!

Go Caps!
