Shutout Again Story of This Wild Team

Well that was no fun. Wild go out with a whimper in final game of the season 5-0 in Winnipeg and watch their rivals to the North move on to the second round.

I will save the post mortem on the Wild season for another day. Gotta let the dust settle on what turned out to be more of the same old Wild in April.

One thing is for sure, this Wild team will look different next season as changes are forthcoming.

What exactly they will be, we will have to wait and see, but this team in it's current state cannot compete for what Wild owner, Craig Leipold so desperately covets.

Not sure if Chuck Fletcher is the one to go, but my guess is he is the likely first chip to fall. With that move a new GM almost always wants his own coach, do Boudreau could be out as well.

As for the lineup, there are numerous questions to be answered there as another dismal playoff performance is now in the books.

Gotta think Tyler Ennis has played his final game with the Wild, and who knows if Matt Cullen wants another go round, and if so is it with the Wild?

Daniel Winnik took significantly less than market value to sign with the cash strapped Wild, and would fully expect him to get a more significant offer elsewhere.

So where do the the rest of the players under contract fit in and there is the RFA status, most notably Matt Dumba and Jason Zucker, but Nick Seeler falls into that category as well. Following his strong end to the season and solid playoff performance he has earned himself a spot on the Wild blueline.

So way more questions than answers at this time.
