Wisdom of the crowd - hockey pool style

I want to take a break from the doom and gloom that is the Senators season (and now hockey-less post-season) and have a little fun.

My former hockey/softball club runs a pick-em hockey pool every year, and I though it would be an idea (don't know yet if it is a good one or not) to see if the "wisdom of the crowd" is better than any one individual.

So I am going to enter one pool based on the consensus votes of any reader who wishes to participate. And, if the pool in question wins any money, I will split the winnings between 2 of the people who participate (they will be chosen by a draw among all participants if and when any money is won).

There is no cost to you to enter, and you could win $500 or more.

The pool form is shown below, and you can make your picks in the comments section, numbered 1-20 by box. (It was produced before the playoffs started so there are some St. Louis and Flordia players in the mix as there was still the possibility that they could make the playoffs, so apologies to fans of those teams if that hurts a little.) It is due by Friday at 6:00 PM eastern so I will cut off entries at 5:00 pm Friday.

And, if you want put in an entry of your own, you can get in touch with me for more details about where to send it and how to make payment on twitter or by email at [email protected].

If your team is playing in the playoffs, determine whether the head or heart wins out, and if they aren't, then this is a way to stay engaged!

Here is the pool entry form:
