Mikko Koskinen expected to sign with the New York Islanders.

With SKA's failure to qualify for the Gagarin cup finals, it's now ''last one out switches the lights off'' in the organization.

Head coach Olegs Znaroks is expected to depart from the team once World Championships and his contract are done and over with, and now the cornerstone of goaltending - Mikko Koskinen appears to be NHL bound.

Per Russian sports website ''Sport-Express'' - Mikko Koskinen is expected to sign with New York Islanders - A team he had been previously drafted by and even spent some time with the organization before departing to KHL.

A source close to the situation had suggested that both sides are in talks, and have reached a ''Mutual but verbal agreement''.


Mikko Koskinen was drafted by the Islanders in 2009 draft round 2, #31 overall by New York.Islanders
