Looking like Markov or Sutton plus another player could be signing with the Isles...more as this develops...This could be hard ball, but I would say that Markov may have missed his window here and it looks like Sutton could be signing in NY in the very near future.
Also Mike Peca to the NY Rangers is a VERY hot rumour at this hour...I am told that other teams are involved in this Peca thing as well, as of now. And that team is the Leafs I believe, who may be forced to go over the cap temporarily to make it happen...However such a move will hurt the trade value of certain players even more.
The Flames are looking to make a few minor tweaks, but it is looking a bit less likely that Warrener to Chicago will happen...look to Buffalo and possibly Atlanta.
Also the Habs are looking at "three to four" centers right now...One is Horcoff, one may be Halpern...the other two, I am chasing down...
I can't tell yet whether today is a slow friday or a friday about to explode...It is quiet right now but this an off season that has usually meant a slew of early evening activitiy.
