So as many of you know, I have long said that Nashville is my favorite NHL city to visit. This year I decided to bring the wife and kids to see what all the fuss is about. Hope everryone had a wonderful holiday. I loved hanging out with family this year...after the family scare we had earlier this month it felt good to just stop for a few days...
But now we are back and I am closing in on finalizing the Rumor Chart for releaser early next week. ...and like clockwork right after Christmas the texts and calls pick up and the rumors return in all their glory.
Combine that with the World Juniors starting today and it truly is still, "The Most Wonderful Time of Year."
On Yakupov....
The Islanders are the team most interested I am told. There is interest from Montreal and Ottawa, but the Isles have the kind of depth at young defense the Oilers are looking for.
On the Jets and Panthers...
Two teams on the playoff bubble are talking I am told...The Jets are shopping for defensive help.
On the Canadiens...
The Habs are trying their best to get bigger and get more size up the middle. They continue to talk to the Kings...
On Jagr...
Florida and Tampa both have looked into Jags...LA could be getting into this as well....
On Voynov...
The Senators may be interested...I am told that once there is a resolution the Kings are likely to move him...
On Toronto...
The Leafs have talked to the Sharks about a "quality center." They are still talking to Colorado regarding O'Reilly...
