It Only Took 60 Minutes

Sunday night the Ducks played one of their most complete games in a month. Their 2-1 victory over Arizona was the team's first regulation win in three weeks. Patrick Maroon scored his first goal of the season and added an assist. Additionally, Ryan Kesler had two assists, to lead the Ducks.

Anaheim could have had a shutout if not for a defensive lapse. Keith Yandle scored Arizona's lone goal in the third period when he was left alone in the slot. The Coyotes are near the bottom of the Western Conference, but that doesn't mean the Ducks can afford to lose their edge in the final third of the game. We’re still way too tentative in the third period with a lead, but that comes with playing so many overtime games and close games. The more we get to hold these leads, the better we’ll be going forward,” coach Bruce Boudreau told Ducks.com.

Welcome Home Jonas

Calgary is in the OC tonight trying to break a nasty streak. The Ducks haven't lost to the Flames at the Honda Center in 10 years. Current Flame goalie Jonas Hiller was in the Duck net for the majority of those games during the past seven years. It is his first trip back to Anaheim since leaving as a free agent in the off-season.

Clayton Stoner is still out action for the Ducks as he recovers from flu-like (mumps?) symptoms. He has resumed skating and may be available this weekend. Mat Clark takes his place. Rickard Rakell will also be a scratch. Interestingly, the Ducks demoted center William Karlsson yesterday and with Rakell not active, Devante Smith-Pelly will center the fourth line. The defense also gets a shakeup with the separation of Francois Beauchemin and Hampus Lindholm.

Here is tonight's expected Ducks lineup:

Forwards
Beleskey-Getzlaf-Perry
Maroon-Kesler-Palmeri
Cogliano-Thompson-Silfverberg
Bourque-DSP-Jackman

Defensemen
Beauchemin-Vatanen
Fowler-Manson
Lindholm-Clark

Goalies
Andersen
LaBarbera
