Yandle Going Nowhere......I hope.....Worst Game Ever

There was a hockey game last night in which the Coyotes played and if you would like to read a game re-cap, you should go read Michael Stuart's Lighting blog because he wrote a very thorough one that even included charts. Charts!

Myself, If I think about that game too much, I will barf. Because that game was a travesty. The Coyotes had what, 2 shots in the first period? If the Lightning didn't dress a goalie for the first period the score would have still been tied after one.

The Coyotes took out Hogdman for Hanzal, which, I'm glad Hanzel is back because he's one of their best players, but Hogdman? Really? A team dressing Klinkhammer, Chipchura and Crombeen is going to sit out the player who was probably the teams best player in training camp and then played great - and scored - in his only game so far?

What does the guy have to do? Work on his giveaways and lose his offensive touch? Buy a Klinkhammer jersey?

Maybe grow a mustache, get in arguments with guys who harass him on Twitter and learn to fight? If you didn't hear, the Coyotes have brought back Paul Bissonnette. Now, I find Paul Bissonnette entertaining, but that's were it ends. The Coyotes have at least 6 players - Lessio, Gaudett, Samuelsson, Hogdman, Rieder, Szwarz - who should play on their team ahead of Klinkhammer, Chipchura and Crombeen, let alone Bissonnette. But whatever, he's back.

Honestly, how old is Keith Tkachuk now? He would probably be improvement over a lot of what they're dressing right now.

Which brings me to Yandle. Word is, he might be available.

The Coyotes have a lot of depth on D and he would fetch a pretty high price. The Problem is that he is the entirety of their offense. He's only 27 and is a staple on this team. The idea of moving Yandle is logical, but I'd rather not.

I have been wrong before, but I predict he isn't going anywhere. Teams will want him, but the Coyotes would want a crazy amount in return. They also have a foundation of defensemen that could seriously make this team a contender for years and years. They would be better to move out guys like Doan and Vermette, Korpikoski and Michalek, and rebuild around the young D, of which, after Michalek, Yandle is the oldest.

Move out all the oldies, make Yandle captain and (fire Dave Tippett, I'm really sick of his reliance on geezers and his zest for defensive specialists) finally, for the love of whatever religious entity you believe in pair him up with Oliver Ekman-Larsson.

This is already turning into a frustrating year. That's the third game where a bizarro amount of goals have been scored against, Mike Smith is playing like my Aunt Carol (a ladies division champ with a nose ring and big shoulder pads, but totally prone to 7 goal meltdowns) and Tippett continues to trot out the worst possible configuration of the roster possible.

Explitive deleted.
