The Ducks shoot for their sixth straight win tonight as they host the Buffalo Sabres at the Honda Center. Not only do the Ducks carry a five game win streak, goalie Frederik Andersen has been in nets for all those wins as well.

Tonight is a matchup of two teams on opposite sides of not only the country, but also in the standings. Although the Sabres are struggling again this season (including a loss to the Ducks), Anaheim coach Bruce Boudreau doesn't plan to overlook them. He told Ducks.com; “This is the National Hockey League. There are no easy games. Ever. Sometimes you get lucky and catch teams on an off night, and I think that’s what happened the last time we played them. I guarantee they’ll be ready to play tonight.”

This game will be a test for the younger players on the team. It's easy to get pumped up for San Jose and St. Louis. A true professional is “on” for every game, younger players tend to take contests like this a little more easily than the veterans do. Still the Ducks should win this one on talent alone.

Defenseman Mark Fistric may make his season debut tonight in place of Clayton Stoner. Its good for him to get some game action, but Bryan Murray didn't give Stoner $3.25M per year to be a healthy scratch. Bryan Allen, a regular last season hasn't played at all due to injury. When he is ready to play, it will be interesting to see how the logjam on the backend plays out. In addition to Stoner, Chris Wagner will also be a healthy scratch.
