The Tampa Bay Lightning released their full training camp roster today. Camp will open on Thursday at the newly named Amalie Arena with a total of 64 players scheduled to be in attendance.
To no one’s surprise, Steven Stamkos, Victor Hedman, and Ben Bishop highlight the team’s camp roster. Surrounding them will be names such as Valtteri Filppula, Ryan Callahan, Ondrej Palat, and Tyler Johnson, among many others.
Perhaps most exciting is the fact that Lightning fans will have their first opportunity to see new additions like Jason Garrison, Anton Stralman, Brenden Morrow, and Brian Boyle in an official setting. Informal skates are over. Business starts now.

Many of the 64 have been participating at the Nashville Predators’ rookie tournament in Tennessee, so they aren’t included on that list.
One of those players to keep an eye on at this year’s main camp is Jonathan Drouin.
After being returned to Junior last season, Drouin is expected by many to make the Lightning this time around. If the following tweet is any indication, it certainly sounds like he’s in a much better position to make the NHL now than he was one year ago:
Good news for Lightning fans.
