A Brooklyn 4-Pack? Now You’re Talkin’

So after seeing the pricing for the pre-season game in Brooklyn on Friday, September 26th, I had a case of sticker shock. Even the group sales pitch seemed laughable. But today a new promotion was unveiled that is actually a BARGAIN! Did I say that? A bargain? At Barclays? Get out!

Yes, the 4-Pack of tickets starts at $31 per ticket and will come with a $15 food credit per ticket. Truthfully the $15 won’t buy you much at the food concessions, but hey… it’s something! The $31 seats are way up, but there are $51 seats mid level and some lower level seating at only $71 each. Okay, you’re talking my language now.

The problem with ticket sales for this pre-season game probably has more to do with timing than pricing. Friday is the last night of Rosh Hashanah. While that may deter only a portion of the Isles fan base, it’s enough to make a difference.

And if that difference is enough to get you a bargain on tickets, I say fantastic!

A rookie squad will be hitting the ice on Long Island this weekend and will be making some appearances as well as trying to impress the coaching staff. What better way to introduce them to the Islanders future home then sending them off for a store signing.

There is no “Islanders Team Store” at the Barclays, so TJ Brennan, Cory Conacher, Anders Lee and Colin McDonald will be at the NETS Team store from 6:30 - 8 pm on Friday 9/12.

Okay, who wants to be my Brooklyn intern for a day? Anyone who heads to this signing needs to hit me up with photos and a report because I’m curious as hell how they will be received -- or even recognized.

They gotta start somewhere.
