Lou Lamoriello has locked up another core piece of the Devils long-term.

Just a few weeks after signing Cory Schneider to a seven-year contract extension, Andy Greene has put pen to paper on a long-term deal to stay in New Jersey. Greene's deal is reportedly worth $25 million over five years ($5M per).

Lamoriello said in exit meetings with the media that he'd like to get Schneider and Greene locked up long-term, and he has followed through and done just that.

I speculated Greene would get a 4-5 year extension, worth a little over $5 million per, so these figures are hardly surprising.

I'll have a more in-depth post on this tomorrow.
