It's not every day a guy who is widely known to want a fresh start elsewhere signs a two year extension to remain in the situation he wanted out of. Point is, now that James Reimer is locked up for two years, he is infinitely more moveable.

Reimer is a number one goalie in the NHL who signed a number one goalie like contract...and not to back up Jon Bernier. I talked to several people today who all feel a trade is just a matter of time now and this contract gives the Leafs a little leverage.
