On Evander Kane...

He isn't helping his cause for sure. If Evander really wants out of Winnipeg he needs to stop talking about it or implying it in any way. Teams love his talent, but are now getting skitterish about whether or not they want to deal with his character. Kane obviously loves the limelight and the question keeps getting asked "Is Winnipeg big enough for Evander Kane?" Teams are still interested including Buffalo, Carolina, Montreal and the NY Rangers.

On James Reimer...

With arbitration ahead Reimer could become quite the story. He is the best, young, unsigned goalie out there and has already shown he can start in the NHL. Winnipeg is interested, but I would keep an eye on San Jose....

On Del Zotto...

Del Zotto is not without options but from what I am told there is a serious pro/con list going here. With Heatley signing a one year, one million dollar deal last night the bar has been set for the aging forwards...but the defensemen left are a different story. Again Winnipeg is in on this one..but so is Detroit...However I am told Detroit has shifted focus to Tyler Myers for the time being. The price for Myers is quite high however.

On Derek Roy...

Mike Fisher's injury has put the Roy camp on high alert. Joining Nashville are San Jose, Minnesota, and Carolina. Roy is likely to get done very soon now that Heatley has signed.
