> 5pm – Close - Tavern 96 is offering .75 wings (full orders only please) and 20% off draft beer.
> Throughout the event, we will have giveaways, including two tickets to tomorrow night’s Predators Foundation Wine Festival at Bridgestone Arena.
> Post on Twitter, Facebook or other social media outlets while at the event tonight and get a $2 draft beer. Limit one per customer!
> 5:30pm – I’ll be there and we’ll get some competitive Cornhole going. Who knows, we may even put together a tournament for prizes.
> 7pm – SlapShot Radio takes to the airwaves as Pete Weber and I welcome the Voice of the Milwaukee Admirals, Aaron Sims to preview the Baby Preds upcoming AHL playoff series against the Toronto Marlies. We will also talk to author Terry Ryan about his hilarious new book "Tales of a First Round Nothing: My Life as an NHL Footnote." Pete and I will be breaking down the playoffs as well as giving an update on the SlapShot Radio listeners Bracket Challenge.

Wednesday Random Playoff Notes

- The Predators announce a couple of signings… 4th round pick from the 2011 draft Garrett Noonan who just finished his college career at Boston University. Noonan is a 23 year old, 6’1” 205 pound defenseman and was signed to a two year entry level deal. The Predators also signed recently acquired Jaynen Rissling to a three year entry level deal. Rissling is 20 years old and just completed his junior career, the 6’4” 204 pound defenseman was a 7th round pick of the Washington capitals in the 2012 Entry Draft.

- Pekka Rinne will be playing for Finland in the upcoming World Championships.

- Mattias Ekholm will be playing for Team Sweden in the same tournament

- All those who are surprised that Matt Coke broke stupid again? Anyone?? Anyone??? OK… he was a good boy for a couple of seasons, but any goodwill he has banked was effectively killed with this most recent incident. He needs to be gone for the rest of the playoffs and then some.

- Didn’t see a Montreal sweep coming… the Habs looked downright scary… now they get a rest waiting for the survivor of Boston / Detroit…

- Pittsburgh / Columbus has their game 3 tonight. A Pens win and this one is over.

- The loss of Stephane Robidas is huge for the Ducks… but keep in mind, the Ducks were good before they picked him up.

- The prime game tonight is game four of Blues / Blackhawks at the UC. This has been a “holding serve” series thusfar… and the teams records show that it will probably continue.

- While the Blues are worried about Chicago, they may not have to worry about getting bounced by LA as the Kings are down 0-3 to San Jose… another bracket buster!

- When did Jonathan Quick forget how to play goal?

- Mark your calendar for Saturday May 3rd for Petey’s 5K Face-Off, the annual run/walk to support the Peterson for Parkinsons Foundation. It was a blast to do it last year so make sure to join the SlapShot Radio team for this fun event. More information is available at the PFP Website.
