Jackets Win, Make History

I could tell you a lot about this game between the Penguins and Blue Jackets - the importance of special teams, the reliability of Jack Johnson, the impact of playing a physical game - but in the end the only thing that matters is that the Columbus Blue Jackets have won their first playoff game in franchise history with their 4-3 2OT win against Pittsburgh tonight.

All the talk John Davidson gave at the start of the season about building a foundation of success to build championship teams is actually happening. While I don't think anyone is planning the parade just yet, I do think this is a team that believes in their ability to achieve great things. They know they're capable and they know the value of hard work. Grabbing a win on the road is beyond huge and as the series shifts to Columbus tied at 1, they need to hold serve and defend Nationwide Arena.

Fire the cannon, Jackets fans!!! You deserve it!
