Over the past several years when a team in the West faced in team in the East they came away winning almost 60% of the time. When this year started off the West was even more dominant than ever when facing the East.

In Mid-November the numbers looked like this

West vs. East: 73-29-11
East vs. West: 40-64-9

Many, including me, wrote about this dominance and were pretty shocked by it. We all noted that surely the Conferences weren't this skewed...right?

Well, as of this morning the West is still ahead of the East soundly...

West vs. East: 213-129-47
East vs. West: 176-166-47

HOWEVER....
Through the magic of "math" we can see that since mid November the records of Conference versus Conference are the following...

West vs. East: 140-100-36
East vs. West: 136-102-38

Almost identical.
