WildHBcommunity: Chuck Fletcher Trades For Player He Knows in Bryzgalov

***I spoke on the phone with EK at 11am CT and he was all over this. I was saying how I didnt buy Brodeur Hype. Boss Man Was Sharp with Aim on this one!****

Real quickly here I just want to convey that I am relieved that Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher avoided both Marty Brodeur and Jaroslav Halak. No disrespect to either but I love that Fletcher commited to his young star Darcy Kuemper who has been lights out starting the last 14 games. Trading for Iilya Bryzgalov is an insurance move at a minimal cost to future assets and provides depth to the team as we still dont have a clear picture of what the final diagnosis on Josh Harding or Niklas Backstrom will be.

Fletcher knows Bryz from his time in Anaheim and has an understanding of who he is acquiring as a player and person. This move also doesnt end the potential trades that could help supplement the Wild's young core it opens up possibilities in my mind!

I really would love for Trader Chuck to find away to steal away in a deadline trade one of this group: Ryan Kesler, Evander Kane, Dustin Byfuglien, Jordan Eberle, or Ryan O'Reilly. Pipe dream maybe but lets see how it plays out!
