So far today I have updated Vanek, Ladd, Yakupov, Gagner, Byfuglien, and Evander Kane on Eklund's Trade Rumor Chart
On Vanek....
Gotta wonder how healthy he was, because he really wasn't much of a factor today for the Austrians. The Preds may be getting in on him I am told, but I still believe Anaheim is the team to beat here...
On Andrew Ladd...
While not a world beater, Ladd is the kind of deadline pickup which really helps teams go deep into the post season...Nashville definitely has their eye on Ladd, as do the Avalanche and Red Wings...also an option for the Kings...but only if other possibilities don't work out.
On Sam Gagner...
Speaking of....The Kings are still on Gagner but the Lightning and the Sabres are also making calls I am told.
On Byfuglien...
This is the Flyers main target I am told, but the Bruins are going to be involved as well...and the price is still too high for either team....
On Yakupov....
There is a certain irony to this rumor, but I am told the Blue Jackets have interest in Nail...Montreal and the Rangers as well.
