UPDATE: According to Rob Rossi of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the mysterious illness suffered by Penguins defenseman Kris Letang was in fact a stroke.
Letang is expected to miss up to six weeks, but his condition is treatable with blood thinners according to a statement from the club.

On the Islanders...
The Islanders and Hawks made a rather interesting deal last night which opened up (some) cap space for the Islanders but also freed up two contract spots allowing the Islanders room to make some more moves... Many out there immediately jumped to the conclusion the Isles were becoming early sellers...
Maybe not...
First off the Islanders are NOT entirely out of the playoff hunt and with the move to a new building on the horizon the Isles are not about to punt quite yet.
In fact, many believe the Isles could make a push were they to pick up some much needed help in goal.
I have talked to a few people today who are very curious as to the Isles full plan here and few others who fully believe they are in heavy talks with the Sabres regarding Ryan Miller.
The two sides talked before about Miller during the talks which led to the Moulson/Vanek deal.
