As of last night I was informed that the Hawks would move the great young defenseman for the right price. That price being a young center.

Five teams, Edmonton, Philadelphia, Ottawa, and Minnesota are currently exploring this. I have this from an extremely solid source. The Hawks want a top-line young center. I am also being told that this will go fast or not at all, and that three other teams (that I have not been able to find out) are also putting together mega packages.

UPDATE: from a source, "The Flyers have told the Blackhawks they will not move Jeff Carter in any scenario for Seabrook. The Flyers are willing to do a deal with other players, but not Carter. Right now, the Flyers are not in the running because Dale Tallon is insisting on Carter."

As well, there are rumors that the Sharks may be dealing Mark Bell to the East. Could he be part of the Souray deal? That is what I am thinking, however I have also heard that the NJ Devils may have interest in Bell.

There are some very strong indications that Tkachuk may be a Wing soon. (or is it Guerin.)

I have added Seabrook and Bell to The Chart

Also OLEG TVERDOVSKY, NOLAN BAUMGARTNER, AND JOEY MACDONALD have been put on waivers...One can only assume that LA, Philly, and Detroit are up to something....this is getting crazy already..

buckle your seats belts....(as the late, great Gene Hart would say)
