Rasmus Ristolainen won it in overtime against Sweden. It was nice to see him play like that and hopefully that transfers over to the Sabres. Prospects Nikita Zadorov and Rasmus Ristolainen were named the best defensemen at the world juniors.

Tyler Myers will have a phone hearing today with the NHL Department of Player Safety, following an illegal check to the head of Dainius Zubrus on Saturday night.

It's not the first time that Myers has drilled Zubrus, either. Remember this?

We'll find out today the exact amount of games that Myers will be suspended for. If the Sabres were hurting before with all the injuries, this suspension doesn't help. Myers had actually been playing better, which was nice to see.

He deserves the suspension, though. Even with the height difference, you can't hit the guy in the head like that. Accidental, but it doesn't matter.
