Despite yet another one goal game for the Sabres, their effort was right there once again. It's nice to see them putting in an honest effort, even if they lose.

The Sabres have scored one goal or less in half of their games this season, but at least they are competing now.

-John Scott and Cody Hodgson were not on the ice for practice today

- The Amerks Frozen Frontier begins tonight and it's going to be an amazing weekend. It was a great experience when the Sabres hosted the Winter Classic and this should be no different.

“The reality is we’re playing a game tonight and with the standings as tight as they are, it’s important we come out and execute.” - Chadd Cassidy

The Amerks game will be televised tonight.

The sixth outdoor game in the American Hockey League’s 78-year history will take place this Friday, December 13, at 7:05 p.m. ET. In the U.S., the game will air live on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel to customers in Western New York, and on SportsTime Ohio in northeast Ohio; SportsTime Ohio is also available nationally on DirecTV (channel 662), Dish Network (channel 431/5431) and AT&T U-Verse (channel 735/1735).

In Canada, the broadcast will air live across the country on Sportsnet in all four of the network’s broadcast regions.

Live video streaming of the game will also be available to subscribers of AHL Live (ahllive.com), and the game will re-air on NHL Network in the U.S. on Saturday at noon ET.

The Americans, top development team of the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres, are hosting the Monsters, top affiliate of the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche, to kick off the Greater Rochester Area Honda Dealers “Frozen Frontier” presented by Labatt. The 10-day outdoor hockey festival at Frontier Field, home of baseball’s Rochester Red Wings, will include college, junior and high school games, a Sabres/Amerks alumni game, open skate sessions and a 3-on-3 pond hockey tournament.
