The leafs are reportedly one of the most active teams out there right now (per Darren Dreger) and they aren't looking to make small moves, rather big, bold ones.
But how bold and how big? Could that stretch beyond Gardiner and into a situation where Dion is made available? He is a pending UFA and so far there have a been remarkably few signs that an extension is on its way....for a player so pertinent there is remarkably little noise..
As the deadline approaches I am sure we will be hearing more, but already I am hearing a few teams with interest in Phaneuf should that path be chosen by Toronto....I have heard Vancouver and LA so far..
