Here's why the Chicago Blackhawks might be the best team in hockey yet again this season.

You can work and grind and your goalie can stand on his head, and they're still going to find a way to score enough goals to beat you most nights.

And typically that way is fast: both with speed in the actual play and in terms of timing, goals scored in close succession.

It happened again last night in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, where down 2-0 midway through the third period, the Hawks scored three goals, the last coming with under 30 seconds to play, to beat the Calgary Flames.

Two goals form Patrick Kane, one from Patrick Sharp. The margin of victory might have been greater were it not for the play of Flames' goalie Reto Berra and some timely shot blocks by Flames defensemen. The Hawks were coming at the Calgary defense hard all night. Marian Hossa was a beast. Kris Versteeg was dangerous. Jonathan Toews was, well, Jonathan Toews. Duncan Keith is in the Norris Trophy conversation again, too. He was outstanding last night.

Winning his NHL debut, Antti Raanta was solid and at times very good in net for Chicago.

The victory pushes the teams' record to 4-1 on the Circus Road Trip and vaulted them back into first place overall in the NHL, with the Blues still in hot pursuit.

Up next for the Hawks are the Dallas Stars. I'll have a preview tomorrow.

Have a Great Thanksgiving everyone.
