The Islanders will hope to grab some points in Columbus tonight as they square off with the Blue Jackets in a game featuring two teams in need of a win. The Islanders offense needs to get back on track tonight as it stumbled on Thursday in Carolina.

Matt Carkner and Eric Boulton return to the lineup as Islanders head coach Jack Capuano feels the need to add some toughness to the team that will battle a gritty Jackets squad. Radek Martinek and Brock Nelson will sit tonight. It will be interesting to see if maybe the addition of Eric Boulton can wake up the fourth line which has been quite for a while. Hitting is contagious so hopefully Boulton can help spark an Islanders team that was listless against the Hurricanes.

Evgeni Nabokov will make his return to the net tonight and it is expected that Kevin Poulin will get the start tomorrow in his hometown of Montreal. This is a big start for Nabokov who can't help but notice the play of Poulin. If Nabokov wants to continue to lay claim as the starter he needs to be better than he has been in recent games.

I will be watching this game tonight but I'd be lying if I said the "Battle of Whitney Ave.' featuring the #10 ranked Yale Bulldogs and my 5th ranked Quinnipiac Bobcats will be pulling away most of my attention. If you are ever in Connecticut and love hockey a game at either rink is a must. Its an amazing experience.

If there are any drastic line changes tonight I will keep you informed and as always for more on all things hockey please follow me on twitter at @DanDanNoodles78.
