Listen to the HockeyBuzzcast at 3:15 with myself and Mike Augello:

*******

Peter Horachek named interim coach. John Madden, former Devils captain, has been named assistant coach. Horachek was the assistant coach in Nashville and is a solid choice. Madden brings incredible leadership as well and was a very unsung part of the NJ devils core that was so successful for so many years...he was practically a player/coach.

In other words...Tallon knows what he is doing with these hirings.

Assistant Craig Ramsey also relieved of duties as well...a GREAT assistant coach who will immediately find other work if he chooses it. Dineen will also be back in the NHL in short order. With Laviolette and Dineen available you can expect to see the pressure mounting in other cities.

Hats off to Josh Rimer who was very on top of this Florida firing last night before anyone.

Also, I am hearing a big day could be ahead in Metropolitan division news...stay tuned for that.
