The Islanders are in the nation's capital tonight to face off against the Washington Capitals. Alex Ovechkin will return to the Caps' lineup tonight as this matchup features two teams trying to gain some momentum in this newly started season. If the Islanders can have a good stretch of ten to twelve games they could seriously make some head way in a very average Metropolitan Division.

Evgeni Nabokov will return to the Isles lineup tonight and start in net. With four games between now and Sunday I would expect Kevin Poulin to get one; maybe two starts in the next week. The lineup itself stays intact as the only scratches are Eric Boulton and Colin McDonald.

A quick update from the college ranks as Islanders 2013 third round pick Taylor Cammarata is off to a strong start in his freshman season at the University of Minnesota. Through six games Taylor has two goals and four assists for the number one team in the country. He will definitely be a player to watch moving forward for the Islanders.

Starting Monday I will roll out a weekly update of players within the Islanders organization so you can track their progress. As always for more on all things hockey please give me a follow on twitter at @DanDanNoodles78
