Updated 7:41pm EDT:

Toronto Maple Leafs goalie James Reimer earned his second start in a row this week by beating the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night.

The 25 year old's season took a turn for the worse when he was knock silly after his teammate Josh Leivo collided with him just 25 second into the game against Carolina.

Reimer was attended to by the team trainers and was able to skate off the ice to the room on his own. However, he did not return to his crease. Jonathon Bernier is now the goalie of the present and near future in Toronto. Reimer has had concussion issues in his brief NHL career.

More to come...

TSN's Pierre LeBrun reported this afternoon that the Edmonton Oilers are indeed one of eight teams that are presently on Ryan Miller "no trade" list. Meaning, Miller and his agent submitted a list of teams to the Sabres last summer that the 33 year old tender would not accept a trade to.

Thats not to say that Miller couldn't waive his limited no movement clause. Miller could also update his list of eight teams and take Edmonton off of it.

Miller's trade value continues to increase as he continues to play lights out in his net. He enters tonight's game with a .939 save % and has been brilliant for Buffalo this season, despite his team's 1-6-1 record.

Is Miller for Yakupov smoke or fire? I say that its a combination of both. The Oilers are not going to sign a 20 year old rock star for a UFA-to-be.

Miller is reportedly seeking a deal in the same range (6 years / $36 million) as the one that Blackhawks starter Corey Crawford signed in August. The Oilers may verbally commit to those dollars now, against a lower term of say of 5-6 years. There is also the thought that Buffalo may absorb a portion of Miller's 2013-14 contract of $6.25 million.

These Miller trade rumors will continue to intensify as his play continues to impress.

Miller, Thomas Vanek and Steve Ott all becomes UFAs in July 2014.

Nail Yakupov trade rumors are fun, aren't they?

Yakupov's week has been a malange of emotions that have ranged from frustration, embarrassment, anger, and confusion. The 20 year old is currently embroiled in a controversy of his own outside of all the trade chatter that has him heading to Buffalo for Ryan Miller or Thomas Vanek.

Today, Team Russia Sochi Olympic scout and former NHL veteran Igor Kravchuk took a metaphorical two-hander to the shins of Yakupov when he called out the former 1st overall draft choice for his laissez-faire approach to his on ice play.

Kravchuk didn't mince words when he spoke on TSN radio in Ottawa on Thursday.

“He (Yakupov) has to make up his mind, if he’s not going to change his game, then he has no future,”Kravchuk said.

Kravchuk has a keen eye for talent having played internationally and for Russia. He also played at a high level in the NHL for many years. He's not impressed with Yakupov's act.

“From what I see, his team game is really, really poor. He tries to do a lot of things by himself, he has absolutely no defense.

“That’s what really concerns us as scouts.”

Alrighty then.

Yakupov is now nbeing called out by someone other than his Oilers head coach Dallas Eakins, who decided to bench the super sophomore from two games against high profile NHL clubs in Toronto and Washington earliuer this week.

Kravchuk's job is to tour around the NHL and KHL and to write honest scouting reports on the 35 Russian players who were invited to the Team Russia training camp in August.

On Monday, after the Oilers practiced, Yakupov spoke about his benching and Toronto. Rather matter of factly, he said that he's not going to change the way that he plays. On a nutshell, the Sarnia Sting legend said that he likes his style of play just the way it is.

“I’m not going to change,” adding, “I really don’t like skating all the time, and forechecking, and hitting somebody every shift.”
