With the preseason fully in the rearview mirror and the regular season approaching on the horizon the St. Louis Blues have one more task to complete before reaching their next destination.

They must cut their roster from 24 to 23.

In the Blues' 4-1 victory over Minnesota last night Magnus Paajarvi and Adam Cracknell flanked 4th line center Maxim Lapierre. Fellow bubbe buddies Ryan Reaves and Chris Porter got the night off.

Neither Paajarvi or Cracknell did much to help their cause which makes the decision all that more difficult.

I've already put my two cents in as to who should and will be sacrificed, Cracknell.

Let's see what you all think. Out of the following four, who should the Blues cut and send to the Chicago Wolves?

- Adam Cracknell
- Magnus Paajarvi
- Chris Porter
- Ryan Reaves

Keep in mind that none of them are exempt from Waivers.

One quick note to pass along...

Former Blues forward Brad Boyes has signed a one year deal with the Florida Panthers. He is best known for being a good goal scorer on a bad team and a bad goal scorer on mediocre teams while in St. Louis. In 2007-08 and 2008-09 Boyes scored 77 goals. A pretty solid .469 goals per game pace. Since then he's hovered right at .20.

After being traded to Buffalo in February 2011 he played out his existing contract, one more season, then he signed with the New York Islanders and posted a decent 2012-13 season of 10 goals and 35 points in 48 games.

Enjoy your Saturday. I will be back tomorrow with a more in depth post.
