Senators and Leafs at the ACC

Ottawa starts off their three-game in three-day stretch tonight at the Air Canada Centre, taking on a Toronto Maple Leafs squad for the second time this September.

Paul MacLean's in sort of a tough-spot with this scheduling quirk, and predictably isn't sending a lot of talent to Toronto for Tuesday's game. Of the expected NHL regulars, we will get anothe glimpse at the Clarke MacArthur and Kyle Turris duo, working with Mark Stone on the team's top-line.

And, they'll have at least one NHL pairing behind them: Jared Cowen gets his first preseason look, pairing up with Patrick Wiercioch, one of Ottawa's most impressive players to-date.

The lineup shakes out as follows:

MacArthur-Turris-Stone
Greening-Da Costa-Petersson
Dziurzynski-Smith-Neil
Cowick-O'Brien-Robinson

Cowen-Wiercioch
Borowiecki-Ceci
Sdao-Corvo

Couple of interesting things in there, including David Dziurzynski's first return to the ACC since he was pulverized in a fight with Frazer McLaren. I'll be keeping an eye on the team's second-line, too: Da Costa's still playing for a job right now, be it in Ottawa or with another hockey team in the coming days and weeks. Petersson, a flashy skill guy, has looked more good than bad during his stint with the big-league team.

On the other end of the rink, a Toronto Maple Leafs team fresh out of hockey's World War III with the Buffalo Sabres. The suspensions from that line brawl are still falling -- it's expected Phil Kessel's going to miss a short bit of time after his run-in with John Scott, and we already know David Clarkson's going to miss ten regular season games for leaving the bench.

Kind of a weird rule quirk, but Clarkson -- although suspended -- can skate the remainder of the preseason. It's unclear if he will play tonight, but here are all six combinations assembled by Randy Carlyle, via David Alter:

JVR-Bozak-Clarkson
Lupul-Kadri-Kulemin
Ashton-Colborne-Bodie
Broll-McClement-Devane
Raymond-Smith-Kessel
Orr-Leivo-X

In net, it'll be Robin Lehner and James Reimer.
