Passing along a bit of info Quick Hit style today...

-- Big shout out to Ryan Porth at Smashville 24/7. He asked me to answer a few questions to preview the St. Louis Blues in the new look Central Divison. Hit this link and check out my answers.

-- The Note fell 4-3 to Tampa Friday night at Scottrade Center. Valtteri Filppula, the centerman the Blues tried to sign before inking Derek Roy, bagged three assists and earned the 1st star of the game. Corey Locke, a non-roster invitee, was the top performer for the home team. He registered a goal and an assist in a hair over seven minutes of ice time.

Netminder Jaroslav Halak was rusty and it showed. He allowed 4 goals on 27 shots. He is a historically slow starter compared to the later months of the season.

Ryan Whitney played about 16 minutes and had a clear set of zeroes across the scoresheet. Make of that what you will.

-- Dallas comes to town tonight for the fourth of six preseason games.

Forward Lines
Schwartz-Roy-Stewart
Jaskin-Berglund-Tarasenko
Porter-Sobotka-Rattie
Andronov-Aucoin-Beach

Defensive Pairs
Leopold-Pietrangelo
Cole-Polak
Chorney-Hakanpaa

Jake Allen is expected to get the start and Jordan Binnington will back him up.

-- If you aren't going to the game tonight you should stop by the Glow Run 5k. There is no official timing this year. So think of it as fun as the Color Run without getting power up your nose and in your ears. It starts in south city and goes up to the Arch grounds in a down and back course.

The benefactor is the Lift for Life Gym.

I'll be there in lots of glowing blue stuff.
