First off, the following players are being returned to their junior teams:

RW Justin Auger (Guelph Storm, OHL),
C Mathew Campagna (Sudbury Wolves, OHL)
G Patrik Bartosak (Red Deer Rebels, WHL)
D Nick Ebert (Windsor Spitfires, OHL)
LW Dominik Kubalik (Sudbury Wolves, OHL)
D Zachary Leslie (Guelph Storm, OHL)
D Kurtis MacDermid (Owen Sound Attack, OHL)
D Marcus McIvor (North Bay Battalion, OHL).

Also, in case you missed it last night there was an ugly incident with about eight minutes remaining in the first period of the Kings/Coyotes preseason game at Jobing.com Arena.

Apparently defenseman Rostislav Klesla of the Coyotes was coming across neutral ice carrying the puck when he was hit by Kings winger Jordan Nolan. Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider sent out this tweet describing what he saw.

After deliberation this afternoon Bob Mackenzie tweeted out that it looked like Nolan would not be receiving any discipline

As expected, Shanahan got to get his preseason warm up in with his much beloved disciplinary videos as well. Thanks to reader tkecanuck341 for posting it up. Here is the video of the hit.

Hit looks pretty clean from my end. It's a hard hit, but not neccessarily an illegal hit. Elbow in, not late, no leaving of the feet. Was it high? Maybe, but it wasn't TARGETING the head.

After the hit Coyotes enforcer Paul Bissonette left the bench of the Coyotes to engage with Nolan.
Ergo Bissonette will recieve a 10-game suspension for his role in the fray by NHL rule

Nolan obviously was correct in stating his hit was clean.

What are your opinions on this though? Should the punishment be as harsh as if it were a regular season game? Should the 10-game automatic be applied even to a preseason game? Should Nolan have been suspended?
